MinaLima – Harry Potter Exhibition
House of MinaLima is at 26 Greek Street, Soho, W1D 5DE.
Entrance is free.
Just a stone throw away from theatre spectacular ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’ is an impressive exhibition dedicated to art and graphics of the wizarding world. Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima, otherwise known as, MinaLima, are the masterminds and creators of some of the most iconic graphic pieces featured throughout the Harry Potter series, and last year announced the launch of their brand new pop-exhibition in London, to bring the art closer to the fans.
From the Weasley’s Wizarding Wheezes, to the marauders map, to iconic text books such as Hogwarts, a History and Advanced Potion Making, the exhibition promises the ultimate Harry Potter fix and is giving you the chance to discover the all the magic that goes into the art of HP.
Yes fellow Pottheads, this exhibition is rather spectacular and well worth a visit. As well framed limited edition prints from both Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts, the pop-up features some of the original books on display as well as the opportunity to buy merchandise.
As you enter the exhibit, you immediately feel like you’ve stepped into a Harry Potter Haven. (similar to walking into the studio tour shop) The walls are covered in Hogwarts letters, and everywhere you look, you find yourself instantly recognising pieces from the movies including; school text books, tickets for platform 9 ¾ and more.
As we slowly venture through all three floors of the exhibit, savouring everything we see, we can’t help but feel like we’ve revisited the nostalgia that Harry Potter leaves behind.
We fortunately were able to meet, Edwardo (one half of Mina Lima) who was super lovely, although I didn’t realise it was him at the time!!!
If you happen to be in London, or live in London and are a huge lover of the Harry Potter Franchise, then make sure you head over to MinaLima before the exhibition ends and delve back into JK Rowlings Wizarding World.
